The nursery was founded in 1980 to supply more mature and freshly dug trees to gardeners and professional landscapers. We now open 4 days a week. IT IS OPEN between October 15th and April 30th (Festive Closure: 20th December to January 10th) on Tuesday, Wednesdays, Friday & Saturdays from 9.30 to 12.30 and also, by appointment only, from 2.00 to 4.00pm. This is for sale of trees, collection of any order you may have placed, and for you to seek advice, or just look around. It is usually possible for small orders to be chosen and dug up straight away. While we are always ready to discuss a problem over the phone this cannot be manned continuously on grounds of cost, and because we are usually busy outside. It is always more satisfactory when you are able to come here and we can talk with the trees all around. The energetic sometimes like to dig the trees themselves to save time, when they have not ordered in advance, so please feel free to do this and sharp spades are provided.
Apples for sales. We expect to have apples of many varieties, organically grown all at one price 30p/1b.
DISCOUNT ON LARGE ORDERS
This is based on the total value of trees you have ordered, and which we are able to supply, for delivery or collection together, and are as follows. If £100 or over you may deduct 5%, if over £250 10%, £500 15%, and £1000 20%.
HOW TO ORDER
Having read it carefully fill in the Priority Order Form and send with a cheque. Early ordering is best. Just say what you prefer and what size, and any second choice. We will of course refund at once if you have overpaid. Lifting and despatch start in October. The invoice accompanies each consignment and is in the stick on label on the outside of the parcel.
We no longer send by courier due to a demand for rectangular cardboard parcels which we found too expensive. We can send small trees and roses by post taking 3-5 days but parcels must not exceed 5ft in length. We would if necessary prune a tree to achieve this, when it would not be harmful. The order value must be over £30 and the charge is 15% of the value, but a minimum of £8.
